As life changes,
the way you use your property
can change too.
Secondary dwellings, thoughtful extensions and backyard spaces designed around your family, your property and the way you want to live.
You may need an independent home for a parent, more room for your family, a quiet place to work or a separate space to relax.
I design considered residential spaces that respond to the people who will use them, the character of the existing home and the practical requirements of the site.
Whether you are planning a secondary dwelling, extending your home or creating a backyard studio or retreat, the aim is to make your property work better for the next stage of your life.
From the first property review through to the completed architectural drawing package, you will work directly with me throughout the process.

Secondary Dwellings
A comfortable, independent home for a parent, adult child, guest or family member.
Each secondary dwelling is designed to balance privacy, connection, accessibility and everyday function, while responding carefully to the existing home and property.
Studios and Backyard Retreats
A separate place to work, create, entertain, exercise or retreat.
These spaces may include backyard offices, pool houses, garden rooms, guest retreats, yoga spaces and flexible family rooms.
Each design is tailored to its purpose and created to connect naturally with the home and landscape.
Extensions and Additions
More room for the way your family lives now.
Extensions may include additional bedrooms, living spaces, kitchens, laundries, home offices or improved connections to outdoor areas.
The design is developed to work with the character and layout of the existing home, rather than feeling like a separate addition.

THE PROCESS
Clear stages, shaped around your project.
You may engage me for one stage, selected services or support through the complete design process.
00 - DISCOVER Initial Consultation and Project Setup We begin with your ideas, property and priorities. I complete an initial property review, meet with you on site and identify the information needed before design begins.
01 - EXPLORE Site Feasibility and Concept Design I explore what may be possible and develop a concept suited to your site, lifestyle, budget and preferred design style. You will receive plans and visual information to help you understand how the proposed space could look and function. The concept drawings can also be used for preliminary builder discussions and early cost guidance. Where helpful, you may involve a preferred builder during this stage so we can work together and consider practical construction and budget feedback as the design develops.
02 - REFINE Developed Design and Refinement Together, we refine the accepted concept and develop the architectural drawings in greater detail. This stage brings together the layout, building form, materials and practical requirements of the project.
03 - COORDINATE Consultant Coordination Where required, I can issue drawings and assist with communication between you and the relevant consultants, such as the Building Certifier, Engineer, Planning Agency or Energy Assessor. This helps bring the required project information together and keeps the architectural drawings coordinated with the advice provided by each consultant.
04 - DETAILS Detailed cabinetry drawings can be added for kitchens, laundries, bathrooms, wardrobes, storage and other built-in elements. This service can be included with the building design or selected separately where appropriate.
